September is Hispanic Heritage Month. I encourage all of you to take the opportunity to research Hispanic scientists and preferably those with influence or significance to Florida. I am offering extra credit to those student who not only research this, but create a nice, creative, and colorful poster to display in our classroom. Remember, we should always celebrate diversity. Without diversity our own species (human beings or homo sapiens) would not be successful. Plus, life would simply be boring!
